7-Up Cake

This is one of the best cakes.  I got this one from my old neighbor, Mo.  I love this with coffee in the morning. :)

Ingredients
3 cups sugar
3 sticks melted butter (1 1/2 cups)
5 eggs
3 cups flour
3/4 cup 7-Up
2 tsp lemon extract

Directions
Mix together the sugar and melted butter.  Add in the eggs, but add 1 at a time and beat 2/3 minutes for each egg.  Blend in the flour, little by little.  Add in the 7-Up and lemon extract.  Pour into greased tube pan and bake at 325 for 1 hour, 15 minutes.
